Letter #4 MTC

Hola,
So crazy I cannot believe its only 4 days away till I´m off to Chile it so weird, feels like a dream, we've been told have your last hot shower, last cup of cold milk and hamburger haha! Monday is gonna be a crazy day we have to meet at the travel office a 3am and then fly to Dallas then Florida then to Chile I´ll probably call in Florida when I have that 6 hour layover so around 12-3ish Utah time??? i dunno. But also do be surprise if you maybe get a call around 4 or 5 in the morning, especially if dads gonna be on a plane I'll call him, if he wants? in the morning as well! What phone should I call anyways? whats gonna be the best way to get a hold of you guys? Has for package or anything sent to the MTC Friday will be the last day I will receive dear elders but Saturday will be the last day for package y hand letters. So NUTS I'm so stoked tho!! haha I don't know any Spanish this is gonna be so exciting!!  Thank you so much for the Health package I love the candy too but it's nice to have something good to actually eat around here. I realize here how precious and important family is, and how extraordinary our family is. We need to work to keep that bond.  So glad Kylee's farewell went well, tell her good luck for me and how excited I am for her.  I'm praying for everyone every night and always put every one's names in the temple when I go. You have to let me know what happens with tanner and Gav in Las Vegas. I'm stoked for them? Everyone is just traveling the world right now aren't they sounds like fun!! As for me this week as just been so great trying to live in the moment of my last moments here in the MTC. Its hard sometimes cause I just wanna get outta here but I definitely have had some great moments here. I had my last interview with the branch president Tuesday and he asked me what the best thing about the MTC has been I told him my district!! I was blessed for an amazing district I know I say that every time but they really are so amazing, its so funny because the boys in my district remind me so much of our family everyday they come in telling some story of something stupid they did last night, peeing on each other, leaving molded hot dogs in each others room, sling shooting wet paper towels at each other leaving welts, just being boys and I just love it makes me feel at home as sad as that sounds, but the other thing I love is how we can have to much for but when its time to buckle down we all buckle down and work. Our teacher said that our district was blessing in her life cause her old district was pretty hard on her. Its gonna be hard to say goodbye to everyone, there are like 45 of us all traveling to Chile on Monday tho soo we are just gonna take over the plane. haha. Oh funny story so Sunday night I decided im gonna slid down this railing in my skirt (hum good idea right) and accidentally leaned a little to far over and completely back flipped over the bar and landed on  my head, one of the elders was standing right below me and could have totally caught me but he didn't wanna break to rules by touching me so he just stepped away and just let me fall right on my face. I just laid there for a second and then I couldn't hold back I just started laughing my head off I am such an idiot and everyone was laughing at me and what a tard I am, you all are probably thinking so typical of meg. It was so funny. I decided after that moment, that laughing is the best thing in the world and no matter where you are in the world Laughing and Music are always the same no matter what language you speak. So I'm just gonna use my laughter over in Chile with the  people!! Oh I TRC'ed this chick that went to Chile on her mission and we were asking her about the language and she said... oh ya.. um ya they don't speak Spanish down there they speak Chilean. That was a confidence booster... not. Haha but whatever I'm just excited to get down there and get to work and embrace myself into it!! I saw Shelby mum she's on my floor and I see her quite a bit, she's such a cutie she is going to be such an amazing missionary. Oh fun fact people here in the MTC are tripping out over us leaving on Monday we are the first missionaries in the world to leave on this 6 week program, one of the teachers said we are ready people, and the lord must really trust us! Interesting thing I learned this week was how real Satan is in our lives and how absolutely strong we need to be. I was reading in moses 7:26 and it hit me so hard, it was such a heavy scripture to me that we must always be on our guard, because as soon as we let that guard down Satan will hit us. I realized how strong we all need to be and with the lord on our side we can do all. "he may have the power to bruise our heal but we have the power to crush his head" Which also makes me think of another scripture that I just loved, John 4:19 "we love him because he loves us first" God is with us always. We actually ended up teaching that to our investigator now that i think about it, Oh so cool she committed to baptism even tho the whole experience was fake it was crazy oh real it felt and how much I felt for her and wanted the best for her.

Me amo me padre celestrial con todos corizon, y yo se que te ama mi tambien!! Oracion es muy imprtante en mi vida especiallmente en la missones. ama ser una missiones! my spanish is so bad but esta bein I know I will learn it out there in due time!

Well Te amo mucho!!!
Love sus baja missonary,

Packages are
the best!!

Letter #3 MTC

Hola Everyone!

Happy Valentines Day!!
Mums thank you so much for the packages as always it was just the best, it was funny cause we were just getting done with a meeting and my whole zone was like you got a build a bear open it... hahaha It was a nice surprise inside!! haha As for the next package maybe just some cuties oranges and healthy stuff  (not protein bars or shakes) I eat way to much candy here tell grandma Diane thank so much for the packages there are exelent, I wrote her and gramps a letter but their in BD so they probably haven't gotten it yet. so just let em know hope grateful I am for the package. Oh my goodness so crazy only 10 more days till I'm off to CHILE!! I am so freaking stoked! Mum you know me all to well the MTC as been fantastico and I love it but I'm over it... I'm ready to get out to Chile and start doing the lords work. Throw me into the pit of lions. As for Espanol its coming slowly but surely, I'm getting there I have my good days and my bad days, I'm finally being able to understand what people are saying which is important because all of our classes y lesson are in espanol!

Sounds like everyone is doing good tho Chan still working on his car, Kyn living it up, and making it into the Thailand program and going to Africa so exciting I'm jealous as always! Is Kelsea going with her to Thailand??? That's gonna be so much fun, I've meet some people here speaking Thai its nuts. As for dad and you know I'm always always praying for you, I know something good is going to work out in time and like always we must be patient! Things will work out for the best!!

So EMILY IS PREGNANT AHHHHHH I cannot believe that oh so exciting and way weird I can't believe she'll have a kid when I get home. You must send me lots and lots of pictures! And tell her congratulations for me. Ah Brent's gonna be a dad! Cute! AHHH

Well This week went by so fast I cannot believe ill be leaving soon, so freakin stoked! Lots of studying and white walls and gross food oh "it is the best" (nacho voice)! So an experience I had this week was last Sunday we watched this talk by Jeffery R. Holland called Forever Missionary.. It was so freakin good and if you know how he talks its like blunt harsh and to the point, after the talk I was totally balling and like "ok I'll do this" but at the same time I was feel so inadequate...I went back through my note again that night and a few things stuck out to me: I must commit my all to this work if not.. go home your wasting peoples time, Have no regrets (dad) and don't waste the lords time. My mission is real life, not just some temporary thing. There was this french quote and I just love it, it goes: "Come to the edge, no we will fall. come to the edge, no we we will fall. Come to the edge, we came to the edge... and he pushed us... and we flew" God has entrusted us/me with his most precious gift his children and we alI must do all I can to bring his children unto him!! He will be with us always and always help us. People ask why this gospel is so hard, Well Salvation is not a cheap experience, why would it be easy for us when it was never easy for him. We must be strong because he was. It can't be easy. Go out and Astonish someone today!! and last never again in your life will you ever been so close to being like a member of the quorum of the 12!!
I was just an incredible talk and I was like "Ok heavenly father I'll do this" I feel so blessed and grateful to be at this point in my life, its hard work but I would never trade it for anything.
I love you all so much Familia, I miss you all more then you will ever know. I love getting dear elders just tell me how your day was or whats going on! Gives me a chance to be in the real world for a split second. Mum thanks for all you do for me and spoiling me with packages. I hope you all have a Bueno week and a Feliz Valentines Dia!! Cant wait to continue to hear more and more!!
Con muchas amor! Amor sus nina! Seimpre Trabaja duro cada dia! Me ama me padre celestrial y jesucristo y el evangelio con todas coriazon!

LOVE,
Your little missionary,
Hermana Megs Godfrey

Letter #2 MTC

Holo Familia,
Como Esta??? Well I just wanna start out saying sorry about my last email it was all other the place but then again so was I!! haha! I think I'm actually starting to figure things out now so this one will be better, no promises tho!! Well this week has gone by so fast, next thing you know I'm gonna be in Chile!! ahh! so stoked!! Mum and Dad sounds like you have so much fun in Santiago I'm really am so stoked you got  to go see it! so rad you got to see my mission present, even for like a second! Its so crazy how dad being invited down to Chile right after my call worked out and stuff I really thing there might be a reason for that! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MY PACKAGE!! It was so perfect in every way and totally made my day! Letter and packages are like the best thing in the world here! My whole district chowed down all the cookies, your Oreo cookies were a hit like always Kyn!! Mum the money was super cool to everyone was tripping out over it!! I cant wait to see pictures!! Seems like everyone is doing well, know I'm praying for everyone everyday!! Prayer has really become my favorite thing to do here!! So this week has been really a good one for me I am loving it here going loco being trapped in but I absolutely love me district they are all so amazing! I feel really blessed for them and for being in the 6 week program, heavenly father know me all to well!! haha Espanol is still hard as ever but I've come to conclusion that there is no reason to get worked up about it, because tomorrows a new day and I'm learning at least something everyday. The gift of tongues is a gift, and its gods gift to give, and he will give it to me when he feels I'm ready to receive it and deserve it! also drawing down the powers of heaven! (my favorite book) One thing I have learned in here as well is that charity is most important above all! If you think of others you don't think about yourself you are going to be more happy, charity never faileth! Cool story! One of the girls Hermana Smith was having a really hard time and wrote a letter home to her family saying I don't think I can do this I wanna come home... And I was talking to her and I just felt to much love for her and with all my heart I did not want to see her give up, she already had made it so far. So I told her I said I my blunt way,(probably not the best) "Going home is not an option, don't even think about it, you need to wake up everyday drag yourself outta bed, and do your best everyday (partly speaking from experience)! She looked at me and we both got a little choked up and she was like your right! Hermana you are so inspiring to me and I hope to be like you! Now I'm not trying to say how perfect I am but it felt so amazing to see that even though I cant speak Espanol to investigators that I can help the girls in my district! I just thought that was a cool experience! I've met so many people here it is seriously the best! Haven't seen Ashely yet but it will happen! Dylan's cousin Elder Quist and I have become way good friends he awesome!! Everyone here is just so will to help you and so inspiring. It was so funny today we went to the temple and it was the first clear day since I've been her and you would have thought we all had never seen mountains before! My companion is fantastic I am really growing to love her, she has loosened up so much its way nice and maybe at sometimes not a good thing but it's been awesome! Well I'm running out of time! I'll of course write some hand written letter to everyone and know that I love all you so so much!! And miss you all super kinda much!! Can't wait to call and chat at the airport and stuff in like 4 weeks haha! Mum and Dad thank you so much for all that you do for me and all you've taught me, you guys done good!! I love you guys so much! Let me know how the boys are doing in NZ!!??

Buenos Dias!! Le amo Mucho!!

Hermana (your oldest daughter) Godfrey
